Alabama

Support for families of infants and toddlers with special needs

In Mobile and Baldwin counties, this program provides support to families of infants and toddlers with special needs to enhance their early development by addressing developmental, educational, or social challenges. Options include special instruction, a range of therapies, and behavioral consultations.

A typical intervention process includes early screening and assessment, individualized plans for each participant, and the application of a combination of educational, therapeutic, and support services which are provided in the home, at the child’s daycare center, or other locations. Goodwill Gulf Coast provides this program in Mobile and Baldwin counties with funding from the Alabama Department of Rehabilitation Services.
